Every June, Andijk also hosts the Andijker Jaarmarkt, a vibrant annual market in the heart of the village.

Explore the Surroundings
Holiday Park Het Grootslag is located in the charming village of Andijk, which has been part of the municipality of Medemblik since 2011. Medemblik belongs to the West Friesland region, which—despite its name—is actually in North Holland.
The name Andijk comes from "aan de dijk" (meaning "on the dike") and is pronounced "Andoik" in West Frisian. The Andijk Test Polder was drained between 1926 and 1927 as a trial for the later IJsselmeer polders. As a result, both Andijk and Holiday Park Het Grootslag are situated directly on the shores of the IJsselmeer.
West Friesland in North Holland is a fantastic holiday destination all year round. It boasts picturesque former Zuiderzee towns like Medemblik, Enkhuizen, and Hoorn, along with beautiful flower and bulb fields. But there’s even more to explore!

The open-air part features authentic buildings from the former Zuiderzee region, including a church, a fish smokehouse, shops, and homes from nearby fishing villages. Inside, you can explore historical photographs, rotating exhibitions, and traditional local clothing.
