With a tradition dating back to the 14th century, the market takes place on Friday mornings from April to October at the vibrant Waagplein. Thousands of visitors from all over the world come specifically to see the cheese market. It’s a fascinating spectacle with a square full of cheese and bustling cheese carriers.

Especially in 'the old city,' where you’ll find the oldest historic buildings, the best boutiques are situated.
