Vakantiepark Het Grootslag is located directly by the IJsselmeer in a peaceful environment where you can enjoy wonderful hikes and bike tours. At the reception, you can find brochures with beautiful cycling routes in the area.
The charming cities of Enkhuizen, Alkmaar, and Hoorn are just a short distance away from Het Grootslag.
Fishing enthusiasts can fish for carp and roach in the park's inland waters. Children can ride ponies at our pony farm, play on the playground with bouncy castles, or pet the goats and rabbits at the petting zoo. Naturally, you can enjoy free Wi-Fi in all of our holiday homes.

Holiday at the IJsselmeer
The IJsselmeer is one of the largest water sports areas in the Netherlands. At Het Grootslag, you can enjoy the vastness, peace, and relaxation of the IJsselmeer. There are various beaches along the IJsselmeer where you can have fun in the summer. About 1 km away is the nature and recreation area De Vooroever, where you can walk with your dog (on a leash) and take a swim in the IJsselmeer during the summer.
Along the IJsselmeer, you will also find cozy little harbors where you can rent sailboats to visit the harbors of West Friesland. About a 10-minute walk from Vakantiepark Het Grootslag is the harbor of Andijk. This is a modern marina on the IJsselmeer with space for about 600 boats. Here, you will find a top-notch restaurant with a cozy terrace offering a beautiful view of the IJsselmeer and the sailboats in the harbor.
In Medemblik, just a stone's throw from Het Grootslag, sailing courses are also offered. During the season, you can take a sailing course here. Additionally, sailing competitions, including the Delta Lloyd Regatta, are held regularly. The city of Medemblik is definitely worth a visit during the Delta Lloyd Regatta! The city has a cozy atmosphere, and various festivals and activities are organized.
In the colder months, the IJsselmeer is the ideal place to get some fresh air with your children or take a long walk with your dog.
