Whether you're planning a weekend getaway, a midweek break, or a longer stay in North Holland, there’s plenty to do at Holiday Park Het Grootslag! Guests can make use of our indoor swimming pool, tennis court, and mini-golf course. The park is not only close to Enkhuizen, Hoorn, and Alkmaar but is also surrounded by peaceful nature, ideal for walking and cycling trips.
Fishing enthusiasts can enjoy carp and roach fishing in the park’s inner waters. Children will love pony riding at our ranch, playing in the playground with a bouncy castle, or cuddling goats and rabbits at the petting zoo. Of course, all our holiday homes include free Wi-Fi access.
The park features several restaurants, a cozy bar with a bowling alley, and a supermarket that is open from April to October.

Water Sports and the IJsselmeer
The IJsselmeer is one of the largest water sports areas in the Netherlands. At Het Grootslag, you can enjoy the wide-open space, tranquility, and various recreational activities the IJsselmeer has to offer. There are several beaches along the lake, perfect for a summer day out. Just one kilometer from the park, you’ll find the Vooroever nature and recreation area, where you can take a peaceful walk with your dog (on a leash) or go for a swim in the lake during warmer months.
Along the IJsselmeer, you’ll also find charming harbors where you can rent sailboats for a day of exploring the West Friesland ports. Just a 10-minute walk from Holiday Park Het Grootslag is the harbor of Andijk, a modern marina with space for around 600 boats. Here, you’ll find 1619 Eten & Drinken, a first-class restaurant with a welcoming terrace and a stunning view of the IJsselmeer and the sailing yachts in the harbor.
In Medemblik, just a short distance from Het Grootslag, sailing lessons are also available. During the season, you can take a sailing course, and the town regularly hosts sailing competitions, including the Delta Lloyd Regatta. During this event, Medemblik comes alive with a fantastic atmosphere, featuring celebrations and various activities throughout the city.
In the colder months, the IJsselmeer is the perfect place for a refreshing walk with the family or a long stroll with your dog.
